- Hobbies:
- The American Civil War. Reading history, space exploration, science fiction, earth sciences. I have followed the Space Program since the first Moon landing, meeting several of the Apollo astronauts.
Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I love history and I want to encourage others to love it as much as I do. I enjoy seeing my students as they begin to comprehend the subject at hand,the spark in their eyes as they begin to understand is what makes tutoring worthwhile.
Why should a student pick you?
- I am an avid historian who loves to keep learning! I have a library at home that has over 7,000 books, mostly History, with Science a close second. I have visited many of the Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields, I visit as many historical sites as I am able in order to gain a better understanding of events. I will be able to give you a quality tutoring exerience due to my extensive knowledge base. I can explain in simple terms complex historical concepts, and their relevance to events of today.
I am a licensed teacher in the State of Arizona, for the subjects of history, and geography. I have a Department of Public Safety fingerprint card, which requires an FBI background check to attain.
Personal Statement:
- It is my belief that everyone can learn, that every student has a unique learning style which aids them over others. I attempt to work with the different learning styles in order to help the student reach their goal.
